Mortgage Lenders in Spain

Spain has a large number of financial institutions who offer mortgages to their customers. These range from Spanish high street banks to smaller localised Building Societies. There are also a large number of familiar UK banks who provide financial services to expats through Spanish based branches.

Whilst going directly to a lender may seem the most obvious first step, it may be beneficial to consult one or more Spanish Mortgage Brokers beforehand.

The products that each lender can offer will be broadly similar. Nearly all will provide fixed rate, variable rate and mixtures thereof. Some will offer interest only periods and self build mortgages. You may also be able to obtain Spanish Equity Release Mortgages.
